Mission Statement
Our mission is to conduct a competitive, fun, annual, regional ASL experience for all levels of play from experienced to Starter Kit to new players alike with the goal that players of All Levels want to return each subsequent year(s).

History
The tournament that would eventually become known as The Bitter Ender had its origins in 1989 under the name Winds of War. Rebranded in 1996, The Bitter Ender has since become one of the most prestigious and enduring events in the Advanced Squad Leader (ASL) community. With the exception of 2020 and 2021—when it was paused due to COVID-19 quarantine measures—it has been held annually for 33-years, making it the second-longest-running ASL tournament after ASLOK. Renowned for its competitive atmosphere and welcoming spirit, the tournament continues to draw both top-tier regional and national players, while remaining accessible to newcomers and casual enthusiasts alike. Its legacy as a premier ASL event is cemented, combining fierce competition with the camaraderie that defines the game.
